I beleive most of the pictures here and in my profile speak for themselves, but here's a little information about our trip anyway...
We flew into Portland, Oregon, and headed southwest towards Lincoln City, from there we continued south on Hwy. 101 until we got to Coos Bay, where we turned off and headed east (obviously out to Hwy. 5). We stayed in Grants Pass overnight, and when we woke up, we traveled south into California. At Red Bluff, we went east and west down to Reno, Nevada, where we stayed the night. The next morning we went up to Lake Tahoe, back out to Carson City, and south on Hwy. 395 back into California. We passed by Yosemite, still headed south, and crossed over into Nevada by way of Big Pine. When we got out to Hwy. 95, we decided to go down to Las Vegas. That was the end of our trip... we flew home from there.
This trip was both visually and spiritually refreshing. Trips like these can fuel imagination for at least half a year, and then it's out again to explore this country. With limited funds and vacation time, further trips are not in any of our immediate plans for sometime, but when we do, I'll be sure to share it here.
