Backcountry Wisconsin

New Diggins, Wisconsin doesn't have much to speak of. I guess that with a population of just under 500 people, it's kind of makes sense that we ended up chasing cows.

My friend has a cabin out in the boonies that we travel up to every summer for our annual "camping" trip. It isn't much, but it's a great place for creek-walkin', fire-startin', and, apparently, cow-chasin'.

We actually didn't start the chase; we just wanted to pet them. Had they not run away from us I might be writing about the something way less interesting than this hot pursuit of livestock. Anyway, when we approached, they ran away, and as it would be with any competitive young men, the chase was on! After a few hours of running through the hills and soaking in the fresh, rural air, we set up camp and enjoyed a night of unbelievably beautiful stars. And to think that people ask me what's so great about the Midwest!
