Again I felt weak from the relentless sun, spotted abuilding locked up, but with a porch and crashed out for an hour. Again the one thousand ladies returned, steadily bringing me back to life. I did a spot of filming and wandered around in the shade.
All my problems seemed to come from the sky today. First the sun, then a bird and then a bloody big wasp that attacked me and stung me in the back. No wander I was feeling awful.
Fast running out of light, travelling along terrible roads, ones that kept getting worse, I'd only managed to cover 40km. No good. My final destination was 70km. I did the calculations and no matter how hard I tried they just didn't add up. I simply wasn't going to make it. Even though it was late the heat was still belting me around the head as I trundled into a small village. I decided that was where I would stay.
A local mute was making excited sounds at me, chasing me up the road. Quite a character. I asked around, double backed and found a guesthouse and restaurant. The whole village then piled in to see me. The mute guy was so excited by the trike and kept giving me the thumbs up sign as everyone laughed.
It was a great feeling to be in the thick of it.
I ate a big meal and passed out to the sound of cracking thunder.
