Green and nice (part 2)

The roads were awful at the beginning and he was getting thrown all over the place..... but still not even a whimper. Good boy. Hardcore, hard as nails, that's what I like. I swear I could hear him whispering in my ear. Get on Rob, lets get this over and done with. Lets av it !

What a sight we must have made. People were even more fascinated now with this triple combination. He even had an umbrella for a few hours as the sun was pretty strong.

There was a 10km stretch of road that was simply beautiful. The people, the landscape, the weather...all of it.

There was even an old section of paved road.

Not good for riding on, but it gave me an idea of what things would have been like before the advent tarmac.

Then we hit the main road. Nice and fast, but the back roads are the best. Plenty of those to look forward to though. I wont be in Fujian for long, but what I'm seeing is superb. The land is rich in produce.

These dudes were timber men or lumberjacks if you want the proper description. Helmets are very popular in this area, virtually everyone on a motorbike is wearing one. Unheard of ! They still haven't figured out though, that a helmet without the strap done up is as about as useful as a clock with no hands, or a spoon without a handle. Unless of course you try and use the spoon as a helmet !
