The University of Victoria (UVic for short) is one of the more prestigious universities of Western Canada. Like most North American universities, it is large and has lots of open space, as universities are always situated a little away from the main city. However, since Victoria is on an island, UVic students are blessed with not just a beautiful campus, but also beautiful surroundings beyond the campus.

They have a small little beach right in their backyard (Photos 7 to 11) - the perfect place to run off to for a break between classes. Just a block or two away from campus is Mount ____ (I've forgotten the name, but I'm looking it up to fill in the blank), from where you get a full view of the city of Victoria (Photos 13 to 15).

I know they say that a picture speaks a thousand words, but in this case, these photos do no justice. There is no camera that beats the eye. So, honestly speaking, you haven't seen Victoria unless you've seen Victoria. And trust me, you won't regret it!
