Carmel is a quaint little town in northern California known for charming streets, cute cottages and a wispy atmosphere. Clint Eastwood was once the mayor of this adorable town. A delightful place to stroll with the little ones (babies in strollers or dogs on leashes).

We drove to Monterey Bay for Memorial Weekend, initially to check out the snorkelling, but chickened out after visiting the aquarium. We drove to Reno via Lake Tahoe last thanksgiving and stopped over for a couple of days. It really was awesome. This is the time right before the snow blankets the mountains and ski slopes so you can ride up on the gondolas and admire the scenery.These photos are at the Heavenly Ski resort. Be sure to take a jacket though!
