Lake Tahoe in Twilight
Posted July 02, 2007 at 01:17 AM by Omar
Views of Lake Tahoe from its north shore at twilight in August. While the area is famous for its skiing during the winter, it is actually an amazing destination during the summer as well. The scenery is gorgeous, the water is warm enough to swim in without a body suit (though still chilly), and the crowds are (relatively) scarce. [...]

The whole area is very serene once you're hiking or on the lake and the picnic area is a great place to kick back and have some [...]

We drove to Reno via Lake Tahoe last thanksgiving and stopped over for a couple of days. It really was awesome. This is the time right before the snow blankets the mountains and ski slopes so you can ride up on the gondolas and admire the scenery. These photos are at the Heavenly Ski resort. Be sure to take a jacket though!
