Again I felt weak from the relentless sun, spotted abuilding locked up, but with a porch and crashed out for an hour. Again the one thousand ladies returned, steadily bringing me back to life. I did a spot of filming and wandered around in the shade.

I woke up feeling a bit rough and after a late breakfast Iheaded off into the heat. I'm never doing that again. Early starts and late finishes from now on.

As I was creeping up hill I spotted a young bird on the floor.I thought it must have fallen out of its nest, or had made a pathetic attempt at flight and become stranded in the lava like road.
