On our 5th day, we traveled to Florence, Italy (aka the cradle of the Renaissance). We ambled through Santa Croce, Signoria Square, The Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore) all on foot.

Photos of Frere Hall in Karachi, Pakistan. This building is a remnant of the British Raj and stands in the middle of a public park coming down from Clifton Bridge towards downtown Karachi, just opposite the Marriott Hotel. These photos are from a room in the top floor of the Marriott.

Kyoto served as the capital of Japan for over 1000 years, starting from the period when Emperor Kanmu moved the capital from Heijo-kyo in present-day Nara to Nagaoka-kyo in Kyoto. In 794, Emperor Kanmu moved the capital again to Heian-kyo, the current location in the center of present-day Kyoto.

This is a stunning and imposing edifice in memory of Che Guevara. The structure doubles up as a mausoleum as well with Che's tomb together with a several other revolutionaries right underneath the structure. You are allowed to go into the mausoleum to view the capsules but unfortunately, photographs can't be taken. The quote on the memorial is [...]

Cuba's take on Capitol Hill! This is actually more of a museum now than anything else. Really rich architecture and decor on the inside.
