The Poblet Monastery is located in Tarragona, Spain, about an hour and a half north of Barcelona. The monastery was established in the mid-12th century, but was set on fire during the Carlist War. The mysteries of Machu Picchu can best be represented visually. When we visited the fog rolling crossing the raging river helped set an onimous mood. It couldn't have prepared us for the spookiness of the ruins as we topped a hill and looked down at a vanished civilization. Amazing!
