These photos should provide a reasonable tour of the Hyatt Regency Hotel on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.  The hotel and casino are a comfortable - if dated - spot right on the lake.  The main benefit is the location - one of the few absolutely waterfront places to stay in Lake Tahoe, especially during the summer.  Our days consisted of meandering down to the lake and lounging around all day.  With wireless access, refreshment and lunch service, and plenty of sun, it was the perfect way to relax.  The spa helped too, as did the restaurants, and if you're into it, there's obviously the gambling.  All in all, a great spot for a family vacation on the lake during the summer.

Some concerns: we had mixed experiences with staff who seemed to be students transplanted from Poland for the summer.  Most were extremely helpful and nice though, but we had a couple of exchanges that made us shake our heads.  Also, the restaurants - whle reasonable - did get tiresome.  In a weeklong stay, we were ready to venture out to town within a couple of days - and we were glad we did as we discovered some great places to eat nearby. 

But all in all, a great spot for a relaxing summer vacation - we would defnitely go back.
