Mountains...oh how nice (part 1)

Mountains, I forgot about them. China's natural defensive against the marauding Moguls. They are also good for keeping heavy tricycles at bay too. Pathetic progress is all I can say. A magnificent 28km. Not even a nice round 30. Never mind, the more I eat the lighter the load becomes.

I saw the great wall, the sections that seemed to insist on being on really high pointy bits.

The original plan would have taken me on a straight road North. Instead I'm weaving in and out, up and over the peaks like a deranged rug weaver. One man offered to tow me. I automatically said "no", when really I meant to say "yes". Then he was gone up and over the 'forever hill'. I just can't let myself do it. Pulled out of the mud by a Giraffe is fine, but not by a motorbike on a perfectly flat road.

Head wind most of the way today. Normally it doesn't affect a recumbent too much, but now that I'm carrying an elephant on the back, it tends to catch the wind.

You get buildings and structures around here that attempt to try and look ancient but fail miserably.

The Great wall architecture copying obsession. See how it blends, see how it blends !

This one almost works... If I was further away perhaps it would have been invisible.

After reaching the top of a mountain, it was a race down hill with thoughts of water.
