Safari in Kenya

We are really headed to Kampala in this shot, and were much worse for wear when we returned to Nairobi airport to travel to Mara Serena gamepark resort.  But I don't have a shot of our team then.  Same airline, same group, same airport.  Just dirtier clothing (lol).

We met Jean the amazing veterinarian who works near the Sudan border and has to advertise herself with the cattle horns to drive safely around.  She's really spending most of her time in Uganda now.  But quite a lady.

Lions, Cheetah, Rhino, Elephant, Zebra, Antelope, Impala, Warthog, and zilliions of other species were all in the park as we drove around in our open vehicle.  More to show you later with those shots.  But what a contrast with the slums and IDP camps.  The Masai tribessmen that served us were remarkably dignified and confident.  As our guide told us, "Masai are used for most security and protection.  They kill lions...very brave."

The "good news' guyes are part of the shot at the Equator.  Awesome soccer players who left their careers to go back to their communities and serve the orphans, slums, refugees and widows who suffer in African society.
