Jaipur is one of a handful of cities in India's Rajesthan province, which is known for its colorful culture and hisotorical forts and palaces. Jaipur is the "Pink City", as one of its maharajah's in the early twentieth century had all the buildings painted pink to honor the visit of the English monarch of the time (as you can see, I know my historical events in excruciatingly painful detail). I didn't take too many pics of the city itself or of the palaces (which are quite lovely), but here are some pics of one of two main forts perched on the hillside above the city. The Fort is a great place to visit - it is very expansive and full of hidden, winding corridors and beautiful artisanal touches; wish I'd visited as a child, because you can play one hell of a game of hide-and-seek.
