One of the many local mosques located in downtown Cairo. Despite its openness to the outside world, Cairo still remains one of the Muslim world's most religious cities and a highly respected center of learning.

A 300-year old Maronite Monastery built into a steep mountain. It is cut off from the outside world and the only way up is a trek on foot through the mountain.
