Some shots of the main approach to Stanford\'s campus. Palm Drive is the main entry to the campus down University Avenue throug the center of Palo Alto. Photos of Frere Hall in Karachi, Pakistan. This building is a remnant of the British Raj and stands in the middle of a public park coming down from Clifton Bridge towards downtown Karachi, just opposite the Marriott Hotel. These photos are from a room in the top floor of the Marriott.

Kyoto served as the capital of Japan for over 1000 years, starting from the period when Emperor Kanmu moved the capital from Heijo-kyo in present-day Nara to Nagaoka-kyo in Kyoto. In 794, Emperor Kanmu moved the capital again to Heian-kyo, the current location in the center of present-day Kyoto.
