These are (gray) photos of the Shinjuku skyline in Tokyo. Shinjuku is the skyscraper district in Tokyo centered around Shinjuku Station, the busiest train station in Japan and a major hub for the Tokyo subway as well. Kyoto served as the capital of Japan for over 1000 years, starting from the period when Emperor Kanmu moved the capital from Heijo-kyo in present-day Nara to Nagaoka-kyo in Kyoto. In 794, Emperor Kanmu moved the capital again to Heian-kyo, the current location in the center of present-day Kyoto.

The Advertising Museum - Tokyo contains permanent exhibits that allow patrons to experience the evolution of Japanese advertising from the Edo period in the nineteen century to the present. All of the major media (other than Internet) are represented in the exhibits.
