The beaches in Northern California usually aren't the nicest ones you can find, but if you happen to be in norcal and want to spend a day at the beach, go to Montara State Beach, just north of Half Moon Bay in San Mateo County. Take a trip to Monterey, CA. With the Monterey Bay Aquarium Visit the beautiful beach, restaurants, and wonderful sights. We didn't get a chance to see everything, but I'd say it's definitely worth a trip back there.
