I wanted to camp but didn't even have even enough water for a cuppa. I found a petrol station, bought a load of bottles, emptied them into my water bladder, was offered some gloves and then back tracked to do a nifty little left turn up a dirt track. Campy campy time.

I've had to do a U-turn. I'm no longer heading West but now East, back down the same road as yesterday, then on some more. Again I felt weak from the relentless sun, spotted abuilding locked up, but with a porch and crashed out for an hour. Again the one thousand ladies returned, steadily bringing me back to life. I did a spot of filming and wandered around in the shade.

I woke up feeling a bit rough and after a late breakfast Iheaded off into the heat. I'm never doing that again. Early starts and late finishes from now on.

I woke up feeling clammy all over. I hadn't showered or changed my clothes in quite a while. When its freezing cold the last thing you think about is taking layers off in the evening. I don't think I smell, but who can be sure. My nose is permanently blocked anyway from the cold.
