Baseball as a sport is definitely more intensely followed in Cuba relative to the US. Probably no surprise then that Cuba were runners-up in the inaugural World Baseball Classics
che guevara memorial

This is a stunning and imposing edifice in memory of Che Guevara. The structure doubles up as a mausoleum as well with Che's tomb together with a several other revolutionaries right underneath the structure. You are allowed to go into the mausoleum to view the capsules but unfortunately, photographs can't be taken. The quote on the memorial is [...]

Cuba's take on Capitol Hill! This is actually more of a museum now than anything else. Really rich architecture and decor on the inside.
