fisherman's wharf

Another great tourist spot in S.F. is Fisherman's Wharf. I never got a good look at it until it was my turn to family from Hong Kong around on their vacation. The sights are gorgeous. The beaches in Northern California usually aren't the nicest ones you can find, but if you happen to be in norcal and want to spend a day at the beach, go to Montara State Beach, just north of Half Moon Bay in San Mateo County. Castro Valley is a city in the Bay Area in California. Lake Chabot would be a nice place to go to in that area. There are picnic areas, a beautiful lake, boats (canoes, paddle boats, etc.) for rent, and a hiking trail. The San Leandro Marina is another great spot to visit for a day out in the sun. There's a park, picnic and barbeque spots, a trail by the water, and plenty of grass for all your outdoor sports.
